“I started my journey at Paul Smith’s College in 2012, graduating in December of 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management and Policy. Upon graduation I landed a job with the Department of Environmental Conservation, managing and caring for wildlife management areas in Region 5. This was a seasonal job, however, and I was always looking to better myself. In the fall I was laid off and determined to land a full-time job.”
“Just like PSC, the DEC was a tight-knit community, and through networking I got a call from a local logging company, Richard’s Logging. I am now the operator of a Log Max harvester head and am merchandising timber on a log header. I achieved a dream job from a dream college, for it’s all about the experience!”
