Paul Smith’s College to Induct Ten Distinguished Staff, Faculty, and Alumni Into the College’s Hall of Fame
Ceremony to be Held at the Historic Hotel Saranac on October 22
PAUL SMITHS, NY – Paul Smith’s College will induct ten outstanding individuals who have helped to shape the College throughout its 75-year history into the College’s Hall of Fame at a ceremony at the Hotel Saranac on Saturday, October 22. Among those being honored this fall include former president Dr. H. David Chamberlain, former Paul Smith’s Hotel employee and life-long board member Richard Longtin, and alumni James Voorhies ’72, member of the PSC Hall of Fame committee.
“What makes Paul Smith’s College special is not only our majestic campus with lakes and trails in the Adirondacks, but the strong community made up of our students, faculty, staff, and alumni,” said President Nicholas Hunt-Bull. “We’re thrilled to be gathering as a community at the historic Hotel Saranac to honor ten distinguished Paul Smith’s staff, faculty, and alumni for their important contributions to our college.”
The Hall of Fame committee honors individuals from five distinct categories: Faculty and Administrators, Distinguished PSC Staff, Distinguished Alumni, Athletics, and Community Partners/Friends of the College. This allows for the opportunity for anyone who has made significant contributions to the past or present success of the college to be eligible.
The Hall of Fame was officially established in 2019 and held its inaugural ceremony in April 2022. Inductees from 2020 and 2021 who were not able to attend the inaugural ceremony have also been invited to celebrate with their colleagues and receive their award in person.
