College Ranked No. 5 in Best Value in the Region

PAUL SMITHS, NY – Paul Smith’s College was ranked the top regional college for best undergraduate teaching by U.S. News and World Report’s 2023 Best Colleges Rankings. Paul Smith’s College was also ranked fifth for best value in the region.

“Today’s rankings confirm that Paul Smith’s College is best in class, not only in teaching, but in value for our students,” said Paul Smith’s College President Nicholas Hunt-Bull. “Our high quality, affordable education is demonstrated by the success of our graduates in the workplace and beyond.”

Best undergraduate teaching is determined by surveying top academics across the nation to nominate institutions with the highest commitment of faculty to undergraduate teaching. Best value reflects the college’s academic quality and net cost of attendance for out-of-state students. U.S. News only includes schools that are ranked in the top half of their categories.

“Because of our dedicated and distinguished faculty across Paul Smith’s College, our students are well-prepared for life and their careers. We are honored that U.S. News and World Report recognized our hard work and effort for students every day,” stated Kendra Ormerod, assistant professor of recreation and faculty president.

Paul Smith’s was also recognized for their commitment to veterans, ranking 12th in the region for serving veterans. In the Top Performers on Social Mobility category, an award that measures an institution’s ability to graduate economically disadvantaged students, Paul Smith’s College placed 39th among all northern colleges, up from 40 last year.

U.S. News and World Report is widely recognized for its annual collegiate rankings. Paul Smith’s full profile can be found at https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/paul-smiths-college-2795.
