Paul Smith’s College adds three new SUNY partners to discounted tuition program
Paul Smith’s College has expanded its Tuition Scholarship Program, which provides a significantly discounted tuition rate for future graduates, to include Fulton-Montgomery Community College, Herkimer College, and Clinton Community College.
Under the program, students will have the opportunity to work toward a bachelor’s degree at Paul Smith’s with a tuition cost no higher than that of a four-year SUNY institution, or $9,170 for the 2020-2021 academic year.
The three new partners bring the total to five, which includes North Country Community College and SUNY Adirondack.
“We’re excited to expand our Tuition Scholarship Program network and provide even more community college graduates a pathway to an outstanding and affordable degree,” said Paul Smith’s College President Cathy Dove. “A collaborative effort between public and private colleges such as this puts today’s students first.”
Cathleen C. McColgin, president of Herkimer College, echoed the sentiment.
“We are focused on creating new, innovative programs and partnerships that ensure all individuals have access to affordable opportunities,” said McColgin. “We are proud to have entered into a new enhanced partnership with Paul Smith’s College ensuring a new, convenient and more affordable option for Herkimer College graduates to earn a bachelor’s degree.”
“Clinton Community College is very proud to partner with Paul Smith’s College in providing another seamless transfer opportunity for the students of Clinton Community College,” added Ray DiPasquale, Clinton Community College president. “Our strong academic programs combined with Paul Smith’s outstanding academics will make for a strong partnership.”
Greg Truckenmiller, acting president of Fulton-Montgomery Community College, said that the institution is “pleased to partner with Paul Smith’s College to provide our graduates the opportunity to complete a high-quality bachelor’s degree with affordable tuition.”
Paul Smith’s tuition savings efforts with SUNY colleges began with neighboring North Country Community College in 2017 and the 2+2=You agreement. In addition to the SUNY partnerships, Paul Smith’s also announced in February a “graduation guarantee” for new students that allows students who do not graduate within four years to complete coursework with no additional tuition cost.
Graduating students and alumni of North Country Community College, SUNY Adirondack, Clinton Community College, Herkimer College and Fulton-Montgomery Community College should email admissions@paulsmiths.edu or call 800-421-2605 to learn more about the program.
