stars have shot miles across the sky

in such short amounts of time

and I have only managed

to crawl

a few feet

in the wrong direction

it certainly wasn’t don’t with as much

grace

as the stars

and I never made quite the impact

that they did

nobody ever wondered where I came from

or what I was made of

they only wanted me off of the ground

and out of their way

but I was buried so damn deep

I needed some help

and nobody was willing

I didn’t think I would ever get out

eight years later

and I have

finally

started to roll

in the right direction

Dana, I’m a baking major, bitter Capricorn, and a proud supporter of “fake it till you make it” mentality in all aspects of life.

I’m Thom, a second semester sophomore studying Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences. My dream is to one day work in the rehabilitation of wildlife, as well as to teach. I carry a strong passion for learning and teaching, and love sharing that with others. Alongside this, I have a deep respect for the written word and its power to move people; which is what I hope, someday, to accomplish myself.
