A young male Cooper’s hawk was stuck in the hayloft at Miner Farms for about 3 days. Mark Manske recruited several students from Paul Smith’s College to capture the hawk. Once the bird was caught, it was clear that he was extremely underweight and starving. We transported him to a wildlife rehabilitator in Plattsburgh where the hawk survived the night, but sadly not the next.
