Paul Smith’s College will be installing a solar array on Columbus Day weekend. The array will cover one fifth of the library’s south facing roof. Our campus uses approximately four million kw of electricity per year. The first fifth of the array will produce around ten thousand kw per year.

Paul Smith’s College’s solar array will promote solar energy development in the Adirondack Park, be an education tool, and serve as a symbol of our college community’s commitment to renewable energy.

Check out the display solar panel set up in the Student Center to learn more. Any questions can be emailed to campussustainability@paulsmiths.edu.
