Mostly known for their awkward song structures, eclectic instrumentation, and weirdly timed harmonies, Animal Collective has recently changed shape to become more pop oriented. While the song structures have become more accessible and digestible, they have yet to abandon their signature psychedelic embellishments and signature vocals. This album will probably disappoint many fans of their older material, but I can enjoy it for what it is: catchy. I can’t get these songs out of my head!
