Like many other wide-eyed new students, I set the lofty goal of hiking all of the highest peaks in New York before graduation. Four years and 46 peaks later I can tell you that was one of the best ideas I’ve ever had. I implore all of my fellow Smittys to use the many resources available to you and maximize your short time here by exploring this park you’ve chosen to go to school in. I’ve compiled some of my favorite images of my time in the High Peaks in hopes of maybe inspiring another Smitty to buy a map and start bagging peaks.
