Lips Painted Red

Lips painted red

Wrapped in sacred sheets of silk

A smile drawn ear-to-ear

So carefully practiced – an art form all my own

Wrapped in sacred sheets of silk

Warmth blossoms across my face

So carefully practiced – an art form all my own

Coldness creeps from my soul

Warmth blossoms across my face

My breathing’s reaching its crescendo

Coldness creeps from my soul

Another door closes so one can open

My breathing’s reached its crescendo

A smile drawn ear-to-ear

Another door closes so one can open

Lips painted red

Red Painted Lips

Red painted lips

Warped in crumpled sheets of silk

A smile spread ear-to-ear

So carefully done – just for you

Warped in crumpled sheets of silk

Warmth drains from my face

So carefully done – just for you

Does this coldness creep into my soul?

Warmth drains from my face

My breath becomes shallow

Does this coldness creep into my soul?

The door whispers shut behind you

My breath becomes shallow

A smile spread ear-to-ear

The door whispers shut behind you

Red painted lips
