Pictured are my works from this past summer: Yellow Perch, Brown Trout, and Rainbow Trout. I also did the Life on the Lake juried art show this summer at the VIC – as part of my special project with the Adirondack Watershed Institute. I entered the Rainbow Trout and the Brown Trout into the show.
I was able to collaborate with the incredible master-mind wood-worker, Fran McAllister – a former longtime forestry professor at the college – to create the frames. The frames are made of spruce from a 75-year-old goat barn, which were a huge challenge to work with, but were so worth it because the finished product looked rustic and Adirondack-style. I’d like to thank and recognize Fran now for all the help, hard work, and for donating the frames to us.
I won an honorable mention award for my Brown Trout, which I donated to the Adirondack Watershed Institute. It is currently hanging in the main entrance of the Paolozzi center.
